Apple missed the boat with their Movie store. We want to rent – not buy.
Netflix rocks because it has a huge selection. It sucks because there’s no instant gratification. Pay-per-view is the reverse. Apple has a golden opportunity here to solve this problem – a 24/7 rental store stocked with every movie coupled with instant gratification. But they’re missing the opportunity.

I can’t agree more with this. First, I like bad movies, but don’t always want to own them. Second, if I like the bad movie, I’ll want to pay more to own it later. Sounds like more revenue either way. Yet, Apple just offers movies to buy with today’s announcement. Perhaps they’ll get it when that cool ITV thing ships.
